We know that we did not do sufficient to protect people’s data, Sandberg told NPR. I am genuinely sorry for that. Mark (Zuckerberg) is really sorry for that. And what we are doing now is taking really solid action. Security and safety are never done. It is an arms race, she said. You constructed something, anyone tries to misuse it. But the larger (question) is, Should we are aching these steps years ago anyway? Sandberg said. And the answer to that is yes. We really believed in social expertise. When we received word that this research gave the data to Cambridge Analytica. They sure us it was deleted,” she said. We did not ensue up and confirm. And that’s on us and especially once they were active in the election, we should have done that.

We are doing an inquiry, we are going to do audits and yes, we think it is possible. That’s why we are doing the observation, she said. That’s why this week we closed down a number of use cases in other locations in pages, in groups, in events. Because of those are other position where we have not extremely got problems. But we think that we should be more defensive of people’s data.
