In a statement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has said, “The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sou khanna, IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla and BCCI’s acting secretary Amitav Chowdhury have discussed with the administration committee (COA). In view of that discussion, Smith and Warner have decided to immediately ban IPL 2013. The BCCI hopes the players who take part in the IPL have full respect for the spirit of cricket and follow the code of conduct for the players and match officials.


Rajasthan Royals took Smith to IPL And David Warner has been in the last two seasons, Sunrisers Hyderabad. The IPL authorities will allow both teams to take substitute players for Warner and Smith. Rajasthan Royals have already given the responsibility of captain to Ajinkya Rahane, instead of Smith. Sunrisers have not yet decided on their replacement captain.
