OnePlus is a Shenzhen based Chinese smartphone manufacturer founded by Pete Lau (CEO) and Carl Pei in December 2013? The company officially serves 38 countries and regions around the world as of March 2016. They have released 7 phones, amongst other products.their last product is OnePlus 6.

The phone speculations are slowly revving up. Someone on Weibo today leaked what could be the phone’s actual specs and pricing details, and they indicate OnePlus’ next phone could have some very high-end specs.

Design and Display

5T is the first flagship phone from the company to sport the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio display. Our first potential look at the phone came courtesy of ITHome, who published a couple of snaps claiming to show the new handset in the flesh.
If genuine, the new phone could adopt a glass rear – something that’s been missing from the firm’s previous handsets. It wouldn’t the first time it’s used glass on the rear of a device though, as the short-lived OnePlus X featured this finish.
While things didn’t go all that well for the OnePlus X, the glass-metal body is on trend in 2018 and would see the OnePlus 6 follow in the footsteps of the iPhone 8, iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S9 and Sony Xperia XZ2.

 Chipset

This followed by a report from GizmoChina which claimed OnePlus would use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset to power the phone. This backed up by leaked screenshots supposedly revealing its benchmark results.

Storage

When it comes to the rest of the OnePlus 6 specs, things are a little less clear. The first solid leak we got pointed to Android 8.1. It has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

Camera

It equipped with 12-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual camera setup and it carries support for Dash Charge fast charging technology.

Sensors

We’ve heard the possibility that the phone will have a fingerprint scanner built into the screen, but we wouldn’t count on its accuracy since it’s a feature we’re yet to see on a mainstream handset. But it is possible.

Elsewhere we’ve heard that the phone might have a more advanced facial recognition system than the  5T, possibly one that could rival Face ID on the iPhone X.

It currently looks unlikely that the phone will support wireless charging. The company confirmed that the 5T doesn’t due to the tech not a match for wired Dash Charge. We doubt it will advance enough for it to reverse its decision for the phone.

Price

Its price will the highest the firm has ever charged for a smartphone. The latest leak points to a OnePlus 6 price tag of $749 (around £530, AU$970), which is considerably more than the $499 (£449, AU$599) 5T it’s replacing.

Release date

The OnePlus 5 and  3 both released in June of their respective years, so in or around June 2018 is our best guess for the phone release date
