SIM Card Led Cops To Robbers:

5 robbers who had robbed a Chandni Chowk businessman of eighteen lakh (Rs) at the old Lajpat Rai market were taken using the SIM card of a mobile they had dropped assuming that the policemen won’t be capable to track them. The hunt is on for couple more robbers.
The group was busted after cops entered the owner of the device.

A relative of one of the criminals, in northeast Delhi. A big cache of guns and bullet and Rs 4 lakh were found on them. On Monday evening, Md Sarfraz Alam, Amaan, Kasim, Mohsin Alam and Sachin barged into a shop, attached the hands of one of the workers and robbed the cash along with an SBI passbook, a purse, and a checkbook.

3 criminals had entered the shop while 2 waited outside and 2 more waiting on road. They even warned to shoot at few people following them. DCP (north) Jatin Narwhal said “While combing through the CCTV clips from the area, detectives found a device lying beside the road”.

SIM card:

The SIM card was taken by Alam in his relative’s name. The team managed to track the real owner after questioning the SIM card seller. “He had thrown the SIM card away, presuming that the police won’t be able to track him. He also published the names of his accomplices, who were caught from various hideouts all over Ghaziabad and Delhi,” said Narwhal.

The police disbelieve the same group was engaged in robbing another businessman by ramming his car near Shantivan some time ago. However, the charged themselves demand to be involved in some other thing in northeast Delhi as well.
