Acer Launches First Google Chrome OS Tablet

Acer Chromebook Tab 10:

Google, just a day before Apple’s declaration of probable new iPads for the study sector. It has introduced the company Chrome OS-based tablet on the tablet market. Built by Acer, the latest tablet is pointed at school students. The Acer Chromebook Tab 10, as Google says, is the ‘1st study tablet built for Chrome OS, and provides schools the simple control and shareability of Chromebook laptops.

The tablet has a Wacom EMR stylus as well along with Google Expeditions AR.Although this may appear to be the end of Android tablets, it still can run almost all the Android applications given the quality of the Operating System. We are still to notice how much of a gain does ChromeOS on a tablet prove to be.

The tablet comes with a 9.7-inch QXGA IPS touch display. The display resolution is 2048 x 1536 pixels with 264 pixels per inch. There is a 2 MP HD webcam at the front along with dual microphones. At the rear, there is a 5 MP camera. The company claims the Chromebook Tab 10 to deliver a battery life of up to 9 hours.

Powering the tablet is an OP1 (Rockchip) 6 core processor. It has a 4 GB RAM and 32 GB as internal storage. As for the connectivity, users get help for 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth version 4.1. It has USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1 port and the headphone jack is 3.5mm. The Acer Chromebook Tab 10 has a microSD card reader.

This Acer Chromebook prices beginning at $329. It will build ready in the United States from April 2018. However, it will extend EMEA region in May.
