Xiaomi has been on a phone declaration spree for the past few of months and it seems the device creator is not willing to stop anytime early. In an impressive development, Xiaomi has released a new Redmi Note 5 model in China. It comes with design and features nearly perfectly identical to the Redmi Note 5 Pro released in Asia. The device also comes with different AI-focused features that claim to improve beautification, Bokeh mode, and offers many more features. Just to be clear, the Redmi 5 Plus was released as the Redmi Note 5 in Asia. However, there was no similar Redmi Note 5 Pro version in China.

The Chinese variant of the 3 GB RAM/ 32 GB storage variant available at CNY 1,099 price. The phone with the 4 GB RAM/ 64 GB storage variant available at CNY 1,399 price. The device with the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage version available at CNY 1,699 price. The device will be available in the same Gold, Rose Gold, Black, and Blue color choices.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (China version) specs:
The Chinese version of the Redmi Note 5 comes with a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display with 18:9. The display resolution is 1080×2160 pixels. And the device runs MIUI 9 out-of-the-box. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC processor coupled with 3 GB, 4 GB, or 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It has 32GB/ 64GB inbuilt storage.
In terms of camera specs, the phone features a vertical dual back camera setup that gets a 12 MP primary sensor and a 5 MP secondary sensor. The main variation between the Asian version (Redmi Note 5 Pro) and the Redmi Note 5 (Chinese version) is that the latter has a big 1.4-micron pixel sensor with a bigger aperture of f/1.9 for the primary back.
